I'm getting ready for one of my favorite weekends of the year - the Cincinnati Comic Expo. For the last few years, I've been lucky enough to host several of the celebrity panels. Over the past few years, I've interviewed Chandler Riggs (Carl from The Walking Dead), Marina Sirtis (Diana Troi from Star Trek: TNG), and Ricou Browning (The Creature from the Black Lagoon).
This year is going to be very busy. I'm moderating the panel for the Boba Fett Reunion, featuring three guys who have played the most notorious bounty hunter of all time. Along with that I'll get to spend time with John Rhys-Davies, who played Sallah in the Indiana Jones movies - my all time favorite series. Livvy Stubenrauch, the voice of young Ana from Frozen will be there. She's a local girl and that interview should be fun. I'll also moderate a panel with Jewel Staite from Firefly - she played Kaylee. I just finally watched that show and I can't believe I missed it the first time around. From everything I've heard, she's a blast and does a ton of these event so I'm really looking forward to that panel. The biggest name on the line-up has to be Henry Winkler - the Fonz himself! I'll moderate a panel with him too, and this weekend is the anniversary of the famous episode where Fonz jumped the shark on Happy Days.
All of these folks will be at the Expo, signing things and taking photos too. There are a bunch of other people coming - including the 8th Doctor, Paul McGann! Here's the program.
Here's my schedule for the 2015 Cincinnati Comic Expo, in case you want to see me. All my panels are in the Lazer Kraze Ballroom (Junior Ballroom C, D) at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
12:15 - Livvy Stubenrauch
1:30 - Jewel Staite panel
4:00 - Henry Winkler panel
12:00 - John Rhys-Davies
2:30 - Star Wars Boba Fett Reunion with John Morton, Dickey Beer and Daniel Logan
I'll be hanging out most of the day on Saturday and Sunday too, just taking in the Expo with my family. Check out the panels and if you see me, stop me and say hello. I'll have something for you.
And look for lots of photos on Facebook and Twitter this weekend. After being too shy to ask for photos with the celebs the last few years, I'm not going to chicken out this year.
